After attending some of the
U.S.'s best acting schools, Mayra Veronica started out on TV as a
red-carpet interviewer with Media One. Mayra Veronica then took up work
with Univision, a Spanish-language media company. By moonlighting on
several sitcoms and developing a reputation as a spokeswoman for
Coca-Cola and L'Oral, Mayra Veronica rapidly became a household name.
In 2001, Mayra Veronica landed her most significant Univision role yet,
that of host and model for the variety show Don Francisco presenta.
While Mayra Veronica developed a strong following season after season on
the program, Mayra Veronica's fame skyrocketed when Mayra Veronica was
featured in FHM and was ranked one of the magazine's "Top 100 Sexiest
Women in the World." Several sexy calendars, magazine spreads and ad
campaigns later, Mayra Veronica emerged as one of Latin America's most
famous women.
When not modeling, Mayra Veronica also worked on her acting, appearing
in the independent film Tumbe, as well as in the PBS movie The Suitor.
With so much buzz surrounding Mayra Veronica, she also became one of the
